Tambi Renee on Choosing a Healthy Pet Food

Animal lover and wellness enthusiast, Tambi Renee, is committed to making sure that animals live healthy, happy lives. One of the ways that Tambi Renee does so is by educating people about animals’ diets. With more research going into what pet food actually contains, Tambi Renee has put together a few guidelines for helping pet owners avoid foods that are made from poor quality ingredients that might harm your animal’s health

Read Ingredients Labels Closely

Unfortunately, it can be very hard to figure out which pet food is healthy and which isn’t based on the label. Claims of “all-natural” and “human quality” are not actually backed by any true industry standards and tell you little about what is actually in the food that you’re feeding your pet. That’s why looking at the ingredient list itself is key for being absolutely sure that only the ingredients you want are in your pet’s food.

Avoid Chemicals and Fillers

Speaking of ingredients, it’s always best to go with the product that has the shortest list of ingredients. If you can pronounce all of them easily, that’s an even better bet. Try to stick to pet food for cats and dogs that, at least, do not contain grains, as cats and dogs are naturally carnivorous and process and use nutrients from meat better than nutrients from plants. Avoid any chemical fillers, preservatives, or additives.

Stick to Whole Foods

Even if you can locate a pet food that’s completely free of additives, it may not come with high quality ingredients, as the FDA allows pet food to be made from meat that comes from dead or diseased animals and has poor oversight of manufacturing. Sticking to whole foods that you prepare yourself is a good option for pet owners who want to feed their animals only the very best quality ingredients.

What’s Really In Pet Food by Tambi Renee

Tambi Renee considers animal health and wellness to be one of the most important aspects of her life. From caring for her own pets to volunteering at animal shelters, Tambi Renee has a considerable devotion to helping animals. Lately, Tambi Renee has been focusing on education surrounding pet food as a way to help animals. Tambi Renee offers the following information about what you might really be feeding your pet in order to help you make informed decisions about pet food.

Poor-Quality Ingredients

Most of us wouldn’t want to eat pet food simply because it’s pet food and not very appetizing - but what comes as a surprise to most is that pet food is, literally, not fit for human consumption according to standards put forth by the FDA. The ingredients in pet food can come from a wide variety of sources that would never make it through standards for human food. Meat might come from dead or diseased animals picked up from farms, ranches, and even animal shelters, it might come from animals with diseases (that could be transferred to your pet), or it might be waste products from the slaughter of animals for human consumption.

Chemical Additives

Pet food tends to be heavily processed and can contain many chemical additives and preservatives, as well as fillers that offer your pet nearly no nutrition. These additives may cause cancer and expose your pet to toxic chemicals at worst and, at best, they simply provide your pet with food that is more empty calories than real nutrition.

Lax Manufacturing Standards

While it’s not physically in the can or bag of pet food, most commercial brands are full of poor manufacturing standards that make it easy for food to become contaminated with bacteria, toxins, or debris that can harm your pet. Because pet food does not follow the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Standards, there is little oversight in this area.

Tambi Renee: Traveling Light

Owner and founder of Body Glo Mobile Airbrush Tanning, Tambi Renee loves to travel the world. Recent trips from Los Angeles to Miami, London, and Paris have offered Tambi Renee exciting cultural experiences and an opportunity to meet new people, see new places, and get a unique perspective on life in new locales. With the increasing prices for checked baggage on most airlines, however, traveling the world in style can often be an issue – which is why Tambi Renee is an expert on traveling on a budget. Here are a few of Tambi Renee’s tips for traveling light to avoid baggage fees.

Plan Your Outfits

It might be tempting to toss all of your favorite clothes into your suitcase, but by planning ahead and packing wisely, you can ditch that extra suitcase full of items you thought you would wear but didn’t. Plan out your outfits for each day of your trip, and try to bring versatile pieces that you can wear in multiple combinations.

Buy Toiletries Abroad

Hair and skin products can take up a lot of space in a bag and if you’re trying not to check a bag, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to bring sufficient supplies. Instead of trying to make room in your suitcase and paying additional fees for more bags, consider buying less expensive toiletries once you reach your destination.

Shop Wisely and Ship Home

If you’re a big shopper, consider mailing your purchases back home instead of bringing them with you on the plane. Whether or not this tactic is worth it will depend on the precise fees of your airlines, as well as the method you choose to ship by. Consider asking stores whether they offer any type of discounted shipping from the store or the brand’s warehouse.

Tambi Renee on Starting a Business

Starting a business can be a daunting prospect, but as Tambi Renee, founder of Body Glo Airbrush Mobile Tanning, knows, it can also be extremely rewarding. Here, Tambi Renee shares some of the lesson she learned as she started her own small business.

Have a Detailed Vision

To take your business idea from dream to reality, it’s absolutely key to have a very solid idea of what you want to do. This goes beyond the basics of what product or service you’d like to provide and into the finer details like how you’re going to do it, how you’re going to finance your business, what you’d like your brand to look like, how big you’d like your business to be, and so on. Drawing up a detailed business plan can help you figure out which questions you need to answer, and can help remind you of your trajectory if you find yourself getting drawn off course.

Ask for Help

You may not have all of the knowledge that you need to get started, but that shouldn’t be a barrier to starting your business. Not familiar with the financial or legal aspects of founding and running a business? Don’t know the best way to start an online marketing campaign? People build their lives around a specialty in those areas for a reason! Don’t be afraid to ask for help, either from people you know with more business experience, or from professionals.

Collaborate and Network

Small business owners can gain access to more resources by banding together. Join a local small business organization, or consult with the owners of small businesses you frequent. If you share similar interests or needs, it can be possible to combine your powers to barter services, get bulk discounts, or even run a joint marketing campaign. The possibilities are endless.

Tambi Renee: Think Twice Before Breeding Dogs

Whether out of love for their pets or a desire to make a profit, countless dog owners make the choice to go into breeding. Tambi Renee, a Los Angeles business owner with a commitment to improving and preserving the lives of animals everywhere, believes that this course of action is harmful to dogs, and highly recommends spaying or neutering instead of breeding. Here’s why you should pick spaying and neutering.

Breeding Results in Health Problems

Dog enthusiasts may know that certain breeds have a tendency to develop particular health problems, whether certain types of cancer, brittle bones, or difficulty breathing. These health issues do not come out of nowhere, however; the lack of genetic diversity that generally comes out of breeding has many effects that can lead to poor health. On the other hand, spaying and neutering can actually reduce multiple types of reproductive cancer in dogs, specifically ovarian and uterine (and often breast) cancer in females and testicular and prostate cancer in males.

Poor Care of Dogs

Unfortunately, breeders do not always take into account the time and effort that goes into caring for a litter of puppies. Sometimes, this can result in dogs not receiving the proper puppy health care, or simply not receiving the attention and training that they need. Other times, this results in breeders abandoning dogs on the street or sending them to shelters, where they may ultimately not survive.

Spaying and Neutering Reduces Overpopulation

There are countless dogs in shelters throughout the country, both purebred and of mixed breed, who are put down each year because there simply aren’t enough loving homes, or because prospective pet owners are committed to purchasing a dog from a breeder. By spaying or neutering your dog, you can help put an end to this cycle of overpopulation and killing of unwanted dogs.

Questions About Airbrush Tanning? Tambi Renee Has Answers

Airbrush tanning is becoming more and more popular as a safe alternative to laying out in the sun or going to a UV tanning salon. Many people have questions about this tanning method. Tambi Renee, a Certified Airbrush Tanning Technician and the founder and owner of Body Glo Mobile Airbrush Tanning in Los Angeles, has plenty of answers!

Why is airbrush tanning safer than traditional methods?

Because your skin isn’t exposed to harmful UV rays, airbrush tanning does not come with the risks for sunburn, skin damage, skin cancer, and even vision damage that can result from traditional tanning methods. And the active ingredient in most airbrush tanning products, DHA, is safe according to the FDA and the American Academy of Dermatology.

Why is airbrush tanning better than other self-tanners?

While you can certainly buy creams and sprays to give yourself a sunless tan at home, they often result in a streaky or drippy appearance, as well as that “fake tan” orange tint. Airbrush tans, on the other hand, apply an extremely even coat to your skin that looks just like you spent a day sunning yourself at the beach!

How long will it last?

Airbrush tans fade as the outer layer of the skin fades, so the length of time that your tan will stick around depends on your skin, how frequently you exfoliate, and how often you swim and shower. Generally, airbrush tans last about a week or so, give or take a day or two.

Can I remove my tan?

The pigments in the tanning products stain your skin, so it is not possible to completely remove it. The tan will fade by itself after a week or so, and you can help the process along by gently exfoliating your skin and spending time in the water.

Tambi Renee’s Favorite Recent Concerts

Tambi Renee, the owner of Body Glo Mobile Airbrush Tanning, can’t get enough of concerts. Since she enjoys a wide variety of music, Tambi Renee attends concerts frequently. Here are a few that she has gone to recently and given her approval.

Jay-Z and Kanye West

According to Tambi Renee, the “Watch the Throne” show in Atlanta was exhilarating. These two titans of rap have collaborated to produce a show unlike any before it. Both Jay-Z and Kanye West perform hits from their single careers in addition to tracks off their recent collaboration. Tambi Renee loved the intense energy of the concert as the duo took to the stage an hour and half late and then proceeded to perform so many smash hits.

Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow

Tambi Renee embraced her country music-loving side by attending a Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow concert in Chicago. The melding of rock and country as the two stars performed their sets was vibrant and fun. Despite Tambi Renee’s preference for rock music, the depth of emotion in Sheryl Crow’s performance moved her. Kid Rock did not disappoint as he revisited many of the songs that gave him the nick name “American Bad Ass”. This combination created a great evening of music.

Lenny Kravitz

When Lenny Kravitz performed in Las Vegas recently in conjunction with his appearance at Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday celebration, Tambi Renee couldn’t resist making the trip to go to the concert. Tambi Renee enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, and the concert was energetic and full of her favorite Lenny Kravitz songs. There was even a special appearance by Slash.

LMFAO

LMFAO in Los Angeles was a visual overload.  The party fun atmosphere was full of bright colors and party favors in the form of zebras, beach balls etc. Concert goers decked themselves out in their idea of funky outfits…a lot of gold lame. Lol. It truly was a great party.

Def Leppard and Poison

The final show that Tambi Renee recommends as a recent favorite is Def Leppard and Poison.  The concert in Irvine featured many radio hits, such as “Hysteria” and “Love Bites.” The glam metal appeal of Poison fell a little short for Tambi Renee, but her admiration for the music of Def Leppard made this show one of her favorites.

Aerosmith and Cheap Trick
Steven Tyler puts on a great show, with a hard hitting great swagger and rock.  The talents of this band can not be denied, from guitar to drums this band delivers. I would certainly say this was a must see concert.
